School Garden | Jardín de la escuela
Archbishop Borders' 4th and 5th-grade students work each year to plant a community garden on our school grounds. With the help of the Women's Education Alliance (WEA), grants, and student fundraising the students have been able to expand their garden over the years. They love sharing healthy eating habits with the younger grades and showcasing what they grow with the school community. This past year we grew cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, different lettuces, sunflowers, and more. We are planning to include native plants so that students can learn how to "think global, act locally. As the garden grows in the spring and summer, we will post photos on our Facebook page.
